An elegant old village,

post house Wedding on a

warm summer’s eve

Weddings

Paige and Reed’s wedding day was just as she described when first inquiring with us; “a warm, late summer evening celebration with our closest family and friends reminiscing on sweet memories, honoring love, and looking forward to the future”.

Sitting in the heart of Old Village, Mount Pleasant South Carolina, The Post House Inn is quite the charmer to all who gather to dine, stay and experience all that it has to offer. Paige and Reed were drawn to just that for their intimate dinner party reception. Its cozy corners and traditional southern charm gives the most picturesque backdrop to a beautiful, quaint wedding reception that is becoming more and more popular (which we are loving, by the way!). There really is something to having a small guest count to make for a much more intentional and personal evening with so many memories being shared.

The couple’s day started with Paige getting ready at The Post House Inn, followed by the sweetest first look on the downtown cobblestone streets of Charleston. You know it’s going to be an emotional one when the groom is deep breathing all the way to the location and can barely keep his composure. And that it was. The most pure, loving, genuine first look that could have occurred between Paige & Reed happened right as the sun was breaking in between the clouds and the softest wind blew. With intentions to read their vows to one another, they couldn’t muster the ability to do it so reading them silently while peeking at one another was just enamoring. When first talking with Paige and Reed about what was most important to them for us to capture that day, they both without hesitation told us the raw emotion. Reliving moments like this is almost impossible if you aren’t vulnerable in the moment and allow for those emotions to come. And that is always something we share with our couples, if you bring it we’ll capture it!

After exchanging vows at First Scots Presbyterian, the couple made their way back to old village where their guests were enjoying cocktail hour under the olive trees. A soft glow in Old Village made for the perfect golden hour portrait session for the newlyweds! With a marsh backdrop and sunlit trees we loved exploring all the charm the streets have to offer! Making their way back to Post House, the couple was greeted with champagne and cheers from all their friends and family!! First dances and sweet toasts led the way into the evening celebrating the happy couple and all that awaits their future!

Jeff and I always like to reminisce on the day, usually while we are driving home, however this time we had the pleasure of staying at the Post House and sharing the day with the amazing staff that greeted us at the livley bar. Paige & Reed’s day was one of the most quaint, loving, intentional and charming wedding days that we have seen and a breath of fresh air! We are eagerly awaiting the next time we have the pleasure of capturing a wedding at such a beautiful place!! Thank you to all the amazing vendors who made their day so perfect for them! And cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Edwards, may you always find happiness in every little corner of life.

Best wishes

xoxo Jeff & Molly
